The Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association (HPBA) Board of Directors met at HPBExpo25 and is pleased to announce board leadership changes, reflecting its ongoing commitment to fostering innovation and growth across the industry.
Kris Richardson, President & Founder of RPG Brands, has been elected as the new Chair of the HPBA Board of Directors. Richardson succeeds Henry Hall, President of Skytech II, LLC, who steps down after an impactful three-year tenure. While most chairs serve a one-year term, Hall’s extended leadership provided critical stability and continuity during transformative times for HPBA and the industry. Hall will now serve as Immediate Past Chair on the Executive Committee.
“We are excited to welcome someone from the next generation leaders to the association’s Chair role,” said Jill McClure, President & CEO of HPBA. “Kris brings a fresh perspective and deep passion for the industry. His leadership will help us continue to advance the association’s mission, prepare for our industry’s future, and serve our members.”
Joining the HPBA Board of Directors is Adam Soliman, Chief Commercial Officer at the Duravent Group. Soliman’s expertise and leadership will contribute significantly to HPBA’s efforts to champion the hearth, barbecue, and outdoor living industries.
Additionally, Sudhir Lamba, President & CEO of Regency Fireplace Products, has taken on a new role as At-Large Member of the HPBA Executive Committee. Lamba’s extensive experience and strategic vision are expected to be instrumental in HPBA’s ongoing growth, innovation, and close relationship with its Canadian manufacturers and retail members.
After more than two decades of service, Dick Hoffman of RDH Consulting is stepping down from the board to enjoy his retirement. Hoffman has been a fixture in the industry, previously serving as HPBA Board Chair, Southeast HPBA President, and as the former owner of Fire House Casual Living Store in Asheville, North Carolina.
“Dick helped pave the way for HPBA’s future,” McClure said. “We’re so appreciative of his unwavering commitment and countless contributions to HPBA over the years.”
The HPBA Board of Directors includes voting members, comprising half manufacturing members and half that are retailers, distributors, service providers, and manufacturer representatives. The next HPBA board meeting will take place this summer in Washington, D.C., in conjunction with a legislative visit on Capitol Hill along with the incoming Government Affairs Leadership Academy (GALA) class who will meet the same week.
