HPBA Sections Build Momentum at Annual Strategy Sessions

HPBA convened its second annual Section Strategy Sessions in Chicago, drawing strong participation and renewed momentum across the association’s product sections.

On October 22, the Solid Fuel Hearth Appliance Section met this year with a 38% increase in member company participation from last year, representing 76% of the section’s membership. Discussions focused on the policy landscape affecting the wood-heater industry, including certification and testing, the upcoming NSPS rule, outreach with the EPA, and other critical issues shaping the market.

The following day, October 23, the Gas Hearth Appliance Section (GHAS) gathered to address key topics such as fuel choice legislation, performance standards, and broader policy challenges impacting the gas hearth industry. The group also reviewed and provided feedback on a draft of a strategic priorities and objectives plan that will guide the section’s future initiatives. Eighteen member companies participated, up 63% year-over-year, representing 56% of GHAS membership.

The next in-person section meeting will be on Wednesday, March 18 at HPBExpo25 in New Orleans.
