HPBA Pacific Brings Industry Voice to Sacramento

On Tuesday, January 27, HPBA Pacific hosted their annual Pacific Lobby Day at the California State Legislature in Sacramento, California. Attendees met with 18 state legislative offices and representatives from the California Energy Commission to discuss issues impacting the hearth, patio, and barbecue industry.

The meetings focused on energy diversity, safety, and the role small businesses play in local communities. HPBA Pacific members also provided a hands-on outdoor product showcase, giving lawmakers and staff the opportunity to see stoves and fireplaces in operation and better understand how these products serve consumers.

“I am incredibly proud of our members and partners who showed up and spoke with passion and clarity,” said Pat Lopez, President of HPBA Pacific. “The success of this Lobby Day reflects the strength of our collective voice and the power of advocacy rooted in community.”

HPBA and HPBA Pacific thank Tyler Barrett of Custom Fireside for supporting the outdoor showcase and helping demonstrate the value of in-person engagement with policymakers.
