Industry Job Posting: HPBExpo Outdoor Burn Floor Manager

HPBA is seeking an Outdoor Burn Floor Manager to oversee and support operations in the outdoor burn area at HPBExpo. This role is focused on ensuring safe practices, smooth fuel management, and effective coordination with exhibitors, contractors, and fire officials.

Key responsibilities & Expectations:

Pre-Event

  • Participate in 3–4 scheduled virtual or phone meetings with HPBA staff in advance of the show to review fuel and safety requirements, as well as overall outdoor operations.
    Onsite at Expo
  • Be available throughout 9 days onsite at HPBExpo.
  • Supervise outdoor area setup and assist exhibitors with installation and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate fuel deliveries to exhibitors.
  • Serve as the primary onsite contact for outdoor burn logistics.
  • Maintain daily communication with fire officials and HPBA staff.

Post-Event

  • Provide a written operations report covering setup, show days, and tear-down.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with outdoor event operations, fuel handling protocols, and exhibitor/customer service. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work closely with officials, contractors, and staff are essential.
